Québec Tech receives financial support from Canada Economic Development for Quebec Regions

‍ Canada Economic Development for Quebec Regions (CED) announced on November 12, 2024, financial assistance totalling $16 million, for the next four years (2024-2028) in the form of non-repayable contributions to 13 support organizations including several business accelerators and incubators, including several business accelerators and incubators, including several business accelerators and incubators, including $800,000 for Quebec Tech.

On November 12, 2024, Canada Economic Development for Quebec Regions (DEC) announced $16 million in financial support over the next four years (2024-2028) in the form of non-repayable contributions to 13 support organizations, including several business accelerators and incubators, with $800,000 allocated to Quebec Tech.

The announcement was made by the Honourable Soraya Martinez Ferrada, Minister of Tourism and Minister responsible for DEC, following a call for proposals aimed at ensuring the success of startups in various regions of Quebec.

Stimulating Regional Innovation

This funding aims to support organizations that serve as innovation drivers, helping young innovative companies at all stages of development to generate tangible economic benefits throughout Quebec.

The organizations benefiting from this initiative are 2 Degrees, ACET (Accelerator for the creation of technological enterprises), CEIM (Montreal Business and Innovation Center), Centech, CQIB (Quebec Center for Biotechnology Innovation), CTS (Health Technology Catalyst), CTS (Health Technology Catalyst), CTS (Health Technology Catalyst), CTS (Health Technology Catalyst), CTS (Health Technology Catalyst), CTS (Health Technology Catalyst), CTS (Health Technology Catalyst), CTS (Health Technology Catalyst), CTS (Health Technology Catalyst), CTS (Health Technology Catalyst), CTS (Health Technology Catalyst), CTS (Health Technology Catalyst), CTS (Health Technology Catalyst), CTS (Quebec Center for Biotechnology Innovation) Quebec Center for Biotechnology Innovation), CTS (Health Technology Catalyst), CTS (Quebec Center for Biotechnology Innovation) , CTS (Health Technology Catalyst), CTS (Quebec Center for Biotechnology Innovation), Centech, CQIB (Quebec Center for Biotechnology Innovation), CTS Momentum, Espace Inc.

Today, a call for proposals has led to the selection of organizations offering incubation and acceleration services that will benefit from the announced funding over the next four years (2024-2028). This new approach aims to better meet the needs of young Quebec companies. This financial support seeks to maximize the regional impact of DEC's assistance to support organizations.

Quebec Tech: A Non-Profit Dedicated to Local and International Commercialization of Quebec Innovations

Quebec Tech is a non-profit economic development organization with a mission to stimulate the local and international commercialization of products developed by Quebec startups, most of which come from Quebec's network of accelerators and incubators. We implement initiatives and services both regionally and internationally. We focus our efforts on the commercialization stage, particularly by accelerating regional commercialization through the creation of a network of early adopters across all regions of the province, particularly through our SME-Startup Networking Tour.
