A Must-Attend Event for Québec Startups

Québec Tech's participation in Francotech 2024, the Trade Fair for innovation in French , taking place on October 3rd and 4th, 2024 at the iconic Station F in Paris, marks a significant step in promoting Québec’s innovations on an international scale.

This major event, organized alongside the 19th Francophonie Summit, will bring together technological and economic leaders from across the Francophonie in a setting conducive to exchange and innovation. It offers an ideal exploration platform for Québec startups looking to conquer new markets.

Québec’s Presence at the French Innovation Expo

Québec Tech was a partner of the Québec Pavilion at Francotech, the economic segment of the Francophonie Summit, where iconic companies such as CGI, Boralex, Avantage Saint-Laurent (representing the ports of Montreal, Trois-Rivières, and Québec), Lallemand, and Brainbox AI will be present, showcasing the diversity and richness of Québec’s economic sectors.

Québec Tech: Shedding light on Québec Startups

As part of this major event, Québec Tech highlighted Québec’s innovations and selected, in collaboration with Investissement Québec International, six promising startups from Québec to be part of the official delegation.

  • Airudi develops innovative AI-powered, human-centered solutions to help organizations tackle operational and human challenges.
  • BioIntelligence creates, develops, and markets intelligent and innovative instruments and software to monitor, understand, predict, and optimize bioprocess performance.
  • LexRock AI is revolutionizing automation with LR Studio, an AI platform that analyzes unstructured textual data. With advanced algorithms, it optimizes performance, reduces costs, and minimizes environmental impact.
  • Opalia develops cell-based dairy products that don’t compromise on quality to lead the global transition toward a more sustainable food system.
  • Sollum Technologies develops an innovative and sustainable dynamic LED lighting solution with innovations such as automatic intensity dimming and real-time spectral compensation.
  • SmartD Technologies produces Québec’s smallest, fastest, and smartest variable frequency drive.

Increased Visibility for Quebec Innovations

These companies had the unique opportunity to showcase their innovations and establish strategic partnerships with key players in the Francophone technology ecosystem, as well as heads of state: Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and the Premier of Quebec, François Legault. Thanks to the visibility offered by such a high-profile event, these startups were able to shine and seize development opportunities on an international scale. Four Quebec startups also participated in pitch competitions organized by Francotech, and Brainbox AI won the innovation award for ecological transition.

By supporting these startups, Québec Tech strengthens its role as a catalyst for innovation and highlights the dynamic and rapidly expanding technology ecosystem in Quebec. This event will demonstrate that Quebec, with its entrepreneurial spirit and technological expertise, is a key player in innovation within the Francophonie.
