On July 10, Québec Tech presented the very first edition of CorpoFest, a new event dedicated to technology adoption, as part of Startupfest.
Designed to connect private-sector organizations with Québec technology providers, CorpoFest is part of Québec Tech's mandate from the Ministère de l'Économie, de l'Innovation et de l'Énergie (MEIE), delivered in collaboration with the Fonds de solidarité FTQ and Investissement Québec, to accelerate the adoption of technologies developed in Québec.
Throughout the morning, participants explored expert perspectives, real-world technology adoption case studies and met Québec technology companies offering solutions to today's productivity challenges.
Innovating Without Reinventing Everything
The morning opened with a keynote by Mélissa Canseliet, an expert in neuroscience and cyberpsychology. Drawing on the science of how the human brain works, she explained that successful technology adoption is not driven by major transformations, but rather by a series of small, incremental changes.
She also emphasized that organizations that embrace collaboration make better decisions, learn faster and develop stronger collective intelligence. It was a fitting message to open CorpoFest's first edition: innovation is, above all, a human journey.
Productivity Within Reach Through Québec Tech
Moderated by Justin Brasier from the Fonds de solidarité FTQ, the second segment featured three real-world technology adoption stories involving Glowtify, Worximity and DeepSight.
The three case studies demonstrated that successful technology adoption depends as much on human support as it does on the technology itself. From proof of concept to change management, each project highlighted the importance of building a trusted partnership between the adopting organization and its technology provider.
The discussions also underscored the value of pilot projects, employee support and a gradual implementation approach to encourage long-term adoption.
Matchmaking at the heart of the event
The morning concluded with two hours of structured matchmaking between private-sector organizations and Québec technology companies, organized around four major productivity challenges:
- Manufacturing performance and operational excellence
- Business growth and organizational efficiency
- Smart logistics and supply chain management
- Human resources, training and time management
This format allowed participants to continue the conversations started on stage, discover new solutions and lay the groundwork for future collaborations.
Event highlights
- 13 Québec technology companies
- More than 30 private-sector organizations
- More than 60 business meetings
A promising first edition
The inaugural edition of CorpoFest confirmed the strong interest among Québec organizations for events that foster meaningful connections between technology adopters and technology providers.
By bringing together expert insights, real-world case studies and targeted matchmaking, CorpoFest helps bridge the gap between Québec-developed technologies and the organizations that can benefit from them.
Québec Tech would like to sincerely thank the speakers, participating companies, partners and the Startupfest team for helping make this first edition a success.
