Coffrages Synergy Modernizes Internal Communication with BRIX

Reaching 1,800 Employees More Effectively

Founded in Québec, Coffrages Synergy operates in the construction industry and employs approximately 1,800 people, more than 90% of whom work on construction sites or in manufacturing facilities.

Like many companies in the industry, it faced a significant challenge: communicating effectively with all employees, regardless of where they were.

Before the project, communications were scattered across personal email accounts, text messages, and various messaging platforms. This made it difficult to share information, onboard new employees, deliver training, and keep teams engaged.

The company wanted a simple, mobile solution truly adapted to the realities of frontline work.

A Solution Born in the Field

In 2019, Coffrages Synergy deployed the first version of this platform to centralize communications and tools for its workforce. This initial implementation required more than three months of work but quickly proved successful, attracting interest from other companies across the construction industry.

That success ultimately led to the creation of Québec startup BRIX.

Building on Coffrages Synergy's field experience, BRIX evolved the platform into a commercial solution designed specifically for mobile workforces rather than traditional office environments.

The application centralizes internal communications, training, work assignments, events, and HR tools within a single mobile interface. Through targeted content distribution based on teams, roles, or job sites, each employee only receives the information, documentation, and training relevant to their work.

Employees also have access to more than 1,000 training videos, allowing them to learn new tasks, review procedures, and quickly access information directly from the job site.

"We didn't build BRIX in an office—we built it alongside the people who experience the realities of construction sites every day. Coffrages Synergy showed us what truly matters in the field, and that experience helped shape the product."

— BRIX

This collaborative approach enabled BRIX to develop a solution that delivers real value to frontline workers rather than simply adapting tools originally designed for office employees.

Rapid Deployment, Company-Wide Adoption

In 2025, the deployment of the latest version of BRIX was completed in just two days, compared with the more than three months required for the initial implementation in 2019.

From implementation to onboarding and ongoing support, the experience proved to be simple, seamless, and frictionless.

Today, every Coffrages Synergy employee uses BRIX to access essential information, including internal communications, training, registrations, documentation, and content for field, office, and plant teams.

The platform has also strengthened employee engagement by enabling workers to publish their own content, celebrate milestones, and share what is happening directly on job sites.

Thanks to automatic translation in multiple languages, all employees—including temporary foreign workers—have access to the same information. This feature strengthens the sense of belonging despite the geographic dispersion and linguistic diversity of the workforce.

For managers, the video library also streamlines onboarding and training by providing immediate access to best practices and work procedures.

"In three words: effective, simple, and user-friendly."

For the communications and human resources teams, BRIX has become a true all-in-one workplace platform.

Continuing to Enhance the Employee Experience

The collaboration between Coffrages Synergy and BRIX continues as both organizations develop new features tailored to the realities of frontline workers.

Upcoming enhancements include gamification features, more personalized learning paths, and new health and safety tools.

The goal remains the same: make information more accessible, strengthen employee engagement, and deliver a digital experience tailored to employees' day-to-day work in the field.
